Postby chenxynh » June 15th, 2011, 7:40 am

Dude who gave you this crazy advice???Don't ever stop eating.Just eat right food.Stop eating oily stuff/junk food/soft-drinks.Instead of eating a lot of food 3 times a day have small meals every 2-3 hours.Eat fruits or salad when you feel hungry instead of samosa or stuff like that.Use almost negligible oil for cooking food.
And just ride your bike daily.
And give yourself some time for losing your weight. It doesnot happen overnight :)

ha ha - the tall building-elevator comment is funny (and true as well actually) ;)

No spot reductions possible (unless you're thinking liposuction and other shit stuff). More and more aerobics (swim, run, cycle, play any sport you like - not cricket) and you should see the results. Diet is most imp - eat just enough, depending on your excercise habits. Give all the oily, fried/ fatty treats a skip.

Sit ups will not make any diff - if anything, it'll strengthen your ab muscles under layer and layers of fat - you need to peel away the fat to make them visible (remember, we all have abs muscles - only a few of us are able to show it due to lesser fat. :) <btw, having a 6 pack is not equal to being healthy - health is a combination of strength, stamina and flexibility - so work on all these 3>

Cheers.

You can melt it pretty easily. There are a few ways of doing this. One of them. Find a sandpaper, and use it on the butt (try it to the tune of 'Baby got back') . About 10 minutes a day, for 20 days should take care of it.

p.s. initially, it will hurt. don't lose hope, keep at it. people here call it HTFU.

Hey dont stop eating.
Stopping taking food is a bad thing.since it will put your body in a reservation mode.and you will gain more fat instead

Then i will call this a harsh method of reducing population.

Here a serious and true note:
reduction in food intake reduces weight and you get slim quickly.but after some time weight loss process stops and there will be less reduction in fat and more reduction in bone mass.and this happens because body enter a reservation mode to save fat for more harsh times.
And after getting back to regular eating habit the person will gain more fat fast.

Run. Cycle. Lift Weights. Eat less at a time. Eat more often. Go for veggies, fruits and olive oil for cooking. Try saying no to anything that is fried, has sugar, has oil or looks delicious!
Its as simple as that.
And cut down carbs and starch in food. You dont need it unless you're going for races or endurance events.
p.s. just situps will do nothing. Lifting weights and running cuts down fat.

If really serious- then try and do a calorie count of all the food you eat in 24 hrs- (some even weigh their food on small digital scales)
Burn at least 2/3 of the calories with exercise in the same time period.
Allow at least 3 weeks to start losing weight
Very simply output should be as near as input-bring these as close together and youll lose weight even faster.
And yep all the sensible advice as earlier to have low fat etc.
You can take the Indian out of India

There is no way to reduce fat from one particular body part other than lipo
The whole body will loose fat at their own rates, someone may loose gut first, someone may loose butt first
Methods already listed above

The first accumulated fat is always burnt last. I heard that this is the normal cycle in weight loss programmes.

Hence we have to be more careful when we start gaining weight and the first sign of fat accumulation normally happens around our tummy.
And it is better we start our exercise program early and not wait until we accumulate fat all over our body.
Try burning more calories than your intake and sustaining your efforts should definitely yield results over a period of time.
