I'd be wary of a CF demo bike.

Doc, just buy the BMC Pro that CC has on sale and be done with it :)

SOMEBODY better buy that frame - my bike budget has just been allocated to a "replacement 7D + 10-17" fund, else I'd get it on general principle. It is too good a deal to pass up.

With ref to your DM post which I quote:

Bike looks great and rides great, no doubt. But you DO need a carbon (or Ti) bike. You know it. I know it. Everyone knows it. You just need to accept it, that's all.

I have accepted it.

I don't 'need' any more bike, but I certainly 'want' one. However, not worth the jumping thru hoops to order, ship and pay duties. I'll get one when I go to the US next. Easy and painless.

Get a CF bike, Dr.D. In very simple, subtle ways it makes riding much more pleasurable. I doubt if CF makes one faster, however the ride is surely comfortable.
