1. Are these good frames ?
2. Is it a good deal at this price (£845.95, including £80 shipping to India
3. Even if pay the worst case 30% customs duty
4. Any other possible hassles ?

My answers were
1. don't know, have to look up reviews
2 and 3. Yes I think so - on the critical assumption that PX are good frames
4. RBI issued documentation hai na for any associated chai paani kharcha

they are mostly out of stock though.

Does that make it a go-get-it ! Or would something like this BMC custom from wheelsports make more sense.

Depends. BMCs are nice bikes. With the P-X, you'll get better components and a somewhat standard frame. With the BMC, more of the price is allocated to the frame, less to the components.

Question is - is the lower/mid-end BMC frame noticably better than the P-X frame? I dont know for sure - I do know that Cadel Evans rode the cheap P-X TT frameset in the TdF TT in 2008, so I am guessing that the P-X stuff is quite good.

Of these 2, I'd go with the P-X, personally (although I'd ask around to see if there were any stiffness issues, etc with the frame).
