lovely pointed question.

Let me see. i will soon put up a personal blogpost about the btwin stuff i have bought (~7-10k total) and how every single one of it has turned out to be pretty much crap.

As for the chinese stuff, yaar, its ALL the same. Like I said, i have bought from two of these chinese sites and have seen another 2-3 chinese sourced stuff with riding friends and local shops. Its all in the same bracket. With DX charging much lesser than the others (who charge 50-60 USD + shipping), i honestly believe that it cannot be significantly better than the other stuff i have seen. at best it will be in the same range of quality.

i agree with doc rao though. IF you cycle as much as he does, or if you value that comfort (or have some way of sourcing the deals from USA), then there's definite value in paying the price (my agu jersey was $80 but performance bike sold it for $20 in one of those stock clearance sales just when a friend was coming down). Otherwise, at around 30-40$ apiece + shipping + customs (potluck) it becomes fairly expensive. of course, being a XL/XXL sized fat man means i very rarely find a cheap jersey in my sizes. Its just easier to order from the chinese.

but as far as bibs are concerned, i've gone back again to love2pedal and it continues to be VFM.

that said, here is what my cycling wardrobe looks like:
2 pairs of love2pedal bibs
agu and campagnolo jerseys for the long rides i prefer
2 chinese jersey+bibs
2 group jerseys (325 rs cotton ones)
excluding the piece of shit btwin cycling shorts

my daily rides are with the cotton / chinese jerseys (upto 40-50km). The day i plan a longer / summer ride its the agu/campagnolo jerseys! Think of it like a clothing pyramid - high quality stuff bought extremely opportunistically but rarely. the base of the pyramid will remain to be cheap quality stuff ideally at around 2-3k a pair.

of course, YMMV - to each their own. i will continue to buy chinese stuff for the daily rides unless I travel abroad and can pickup some stuff on the cheap (my campagnolo jersey was 3 year old stuff which i got for 70% off)

I would not buy the fakes again. YMMV. Not a morality issue either.

Just wanted to add that I paid pretty decent prices for the genuine stuff too. You need to look out on CRC/Wigg;le/EVans etc for a deal plus maybe a voucher. Last I got couple of jerseys for 21 and 23 pounds.

Bought recently Pearl Izumi [superb quality], Endura [superb], Altura [nice], Craft [superb]. The material of all are far far better than the Chinese stuff.

Only issue is that even in 'Small' the back is a little long. It's okay when I'm on the bike, but when walking around it fells that stuff in the pockets is a bit low. Maybe that's the way it is designed to avoid showing bum crack while riding?

Hi,

I have booked some cycle accessories at DX . They shipped that on 29th June. How much time it will take to deliver.
Yesterday, I chat with DX customer care and they told me it generally takes 4-6 weeks.

Is this correct?

Regards,
Rajeev

Got the shipment today, will update photos. Its much better than BTwin crap for sure.

DX.com marked the price as 5.01$ on the outside of tha package even though they charged 30+.... Also marked it as Gift.
No import duty !!

Guess this is the fastest I've got a shipment from DX.com about 20 days.

That's the way pretty much all cycling tops are designed. For that exact same purpose of not scaring the shit out of those riding behind you.

I have a Pearl Izumi jersey and the back is very long--even accounting for the whole crack cover bit. With stuff in the pockets it sometimes gets hooked on the back of the saddle as I get off at traffic lights.
