New Merida Bikes Launched

Merida Bikes has launched the Merida Warrior 550 and Merida Warrior 300 to their lineup for the Indian market. As different colors speak to each of us in different ways and no doubt is an important factor in the Indian consumers purchasing process Warrior 550 has been launched in 5 colors - Black, Blue, White, Silver and Red while Warrior 300 has been launched in 2 colors - Black and Blue.

Impressed. Giant has 'revel'ed a competition to capture the sub-20k MTB commuters.
With its countrywide network, Merida should do better. AFAIK no one sells Giant/KHS in many a tier-2 cities. Wish someone did in Hyderabad :(

Thank you for the information but forgive me for saying that I do feel this is an overpriced offering.

Given the amazing VFM offered by the Giant Revel, KHS Alite and even Schwinn Frontier series, methinks you could've priced it more competitively given the components offered. I mean seriously, 15K+ gets you Shimano Tourney? Even Trek's 3500 and 3700 seem to offer better value than that and Trek ain't known for VFM.

Please note that Trek 3500 is priced at 17725/- not including Octroi , whereas WARRIOR 550 is priced at 17000/- not including Octroi.
