Wow! That's a lot of hard work, Vandit. This is a really useful post, a must read for all newbies.

Excellent write up man. Newbies will surely find it useful to clear out their initial doubts.

Now that the thread's a sticky, going forward, we should post only if we have information to add. It's great to see the positive messages, but as Vandit suggested higher up, it'll also be good if this is the one thread that stays firmly on topic.

Abhi, let me know if I'm going completely off the spirit of the forum, but if you, Prabuddha, Francis, smashn and Anand are okay with it, should we delete your messages after a few days? (This message as well.) The cleaner and more on-topic this thread stays, the more likely people are going to stay and learn. What do you guys think?

Of course, this is assuming more people will pitch in and the good stuff doesn't all end there!

Great post Vandit. I've been wanting to write something for a thread like this for some time, and started on "Justifying the price" a while ago, but just let it sit around. I hope your thread will get more of us contributing.

Great RTF Vandit, Minkey, et al. Folks new to the forum or looking for a bike should appreciate your efforts. I certainly do... it was good "gyan" and learning for me. This should hopefully help reduce "Suggest me a bike" type topics... :)
Thanks again,
Regards,
Manju
