Motorcyclist wants to buy a Cycle

I want to buy my first cycle. I haven't ridden a cycle for almost 20 years, before that I used to ride my tri-cycle :P. I am an avid motorcyclist though and have been riding for a few years (every day 48kms on Bangalore roads), but absolutely no experience with manual two wheelers. How different is cycling from motorbiking :S ?

Budget: 500 CHF (1 euro = 1.2 CHF)
Terrain: Easy hiking routes on alpine vallies.
Location: Zurich, CH.

Fuel goes into your body and emissions are bio-degradable :D
