Query about cycle carrier

Hi,
I am from Kolkata. I have one Mongoose Tyax Comp bicycle. I am planning for a cycle trip to Sikkim during late December this year.

However, I am not sure whether I can attach a carrier to the cycle. Since it would be pretty cold at Sikkim during that part of the year, the volume of the luggage should be quite high. So, I would request you to guide us for the best possible way to carry our luggage and accessories. Also, is there anything like a clampable carrier which I can attach to the cycle....
