so, i have been wanting to buy a bike for a few weeks now and have shortlisted a few.. need help in deciding so if you can give your inputs it would help :)
1)montra rock
2)btwin rr 5.1
3)btwin rr 5.2
3)mongoose switchback sport
4)mongoose switchback comp
5)gt aggressor 3.0
6)giant revel 4

yes i wanna keep the budget in this range itself

need it to commute to office and weekends maybe a lil off roading and might take it to the estate.

ppl advised bikes with suspension locks but nothing in this range except for the raleigh nomad and one axxis bike.. which i didnt really like . so decided to go for the ones with pre load. i think the frontier sport also can be added to that list there ! damn confused! pro's con's and suggestions please :)

thnaks a ton :)

Thats wayy too random a range.

Tip: buy the best bike u can almost afford. So first knock off lower-end models of the same bike sych as the RR5.1 (5.0 is the esception since its steel and rigid).

Is ur budget about 16-17k? If so, go to wheelsports, check out KHS, find the bike which fits your budget and then buy the one above it. You wont regret it :)

my vote goes to RR 5.2

it suits perfectly for

1) office to home commutes
2) weekend rides

I would knock out the Montra from the list and make my life easier.
+1 for going to Wheelsports and checking out KHS

thanks for the replies :) KHS was a lil out of range.. i went ahead with a mongoose switchback comp.. it was a lil more comfy than the schwinn FS :)
