And the full bike with Sram Apex is sold here for 1.37L. So I guess that makes it a steal.

$1600-1500 in the US. Add on $150 for shipping and duty at 30%, it's still going to be yours for under INR 1.1lakhs.
Still NOT a steal :-P

My suggestion frameset for 530$ + shipping 44$ Total 574$. Add customs 30% ie about 180$ total 774$
Buy 105 groupset here for 38k. Shimano wheels for 10k or mavic ksrysium for 20k. Other components like seatpost, seat, handlebar in 10k and you got a bike in less than a lakh.

All this considering you like the Zurigo and it is available in your size. I just checked only 52 and 58 available. For frameset internatinal shipping is 43$ ad expedited for 47$.

don't go by the 30% logic ....it use to roughly work when the basic duty was 10%/20%. Now the basic it self is about 30% so the total billed duties will be close to 50%. Also duties levied are on the total amount i.e. incl shipping. And if you're unlucky it could turn out to as much as 60%, it's just not worth it anymore unless you are able to tweak a few things to get your customs down!!!
People will assume you're saving the planet and/or riding for a cause even if all you want to do is enjoy riding

+1. And like I said, the bianchi zurigo doesn't make sense in your case anyway cuz to me it doesn't look like an all rounder!

I really don't think so that it is about the comfort on the bike on a long ride.
Two riders finished the spirited 600 Brevet a day back on RR 5.3
