Nice Trail - off the inner ring road

Postby poncho » November 6th, 2006, 11:46 am

Hi,

Did my first trail on Sunday and I was shocked at how close I was to my house.

Started at 6:45 from my place (indranagar) to Diamond District, checked air pressures, Stan and I were off to Koramangala where we hooked up with mazher. Turn right at the Mahindra Showroom and left further up. Well you end up in a area, I think some army grounds. Very thin trail, tall grass on both sides, very wet and slushy. To add to the fun, a friend of our went a ahead on a Yahama YZ250 (motocross bike) and phoulged out what ever trail was there... total 2 cycles and 1 bike

We cycled around took a break to drink some water and finally reached a nice dirt / gravel bowl, motocross terretory.. I tried it out and quite liked it has a few fumbles..

We cycled further from there to a wider trail where we turned right a few hundred meter we were on the inner ring road (between indranagar and koramangala) proceeded onto Road Trip for a nice break fast, and went home. started and 6:45 and reached road trip at 8:30... had a blast.. soaked from head to foot in mud and so was the cycle.

We plan to do this on a regular basis, any one game to join us, send me a PM.

Cheers

Poncho:: Sure would love to join, request you to put up your plans on the forum rather than pm, other guys also get to see and will have more guys joining.

Army land, be cautious, these guys some times dont appreciate any thing out of ordinary, and cannot think much, this has been my experience though.

But sure would love to be a part of the ride, let us know.

Some of those lands used to have a neat dirt track where you could go and practice motocross many-many years ago... I have never been inside there after the fencing and the Intermediate ring road came up! (Thats when the public lost access to the track too)

Post on the open forum man... its easier to co-ordinate... :D
Life is far too short to skip doing what you enjoy. But, remember to keep your feet on the ground.

Yeah and there was this incident when a stray bullet hit a lady on inner ring road. Army folks have probably taken measures not to repeat it but this area may not be safe at all because they won't expect civilians to go there.
