Lost some paint!

Postby ramkumar » August 2nd, 2012, 1:41 pm

I don't bother if it was on the bike, but instead it was from my hands.

Was trying to show hand signal for right since there were cars on my right just before Hennur cross, but my subconscious mind wanted to slow down as if I am riding a bike which has back brakes on the left hand.

Result: Just as Abhi quoted once, before I could utter the 'O' in Oops, It was a somersault and I jumped out and landed on my hands. Glows protected my palm, but lost paint near the elbow. My shifter's optical indicators scratched. The BTwin bell was lost, leaving very minimum damage to the handlebar in form of minor scratches.

Having said that, I need suggestions for elbow protection, these things are rare, but there are many dependencies which keeps me off from bike and I am very inconsistent, I wanted to get rid of these minor items at least.

It is okay, Ram. You don't need elbow guards etc while commuting or for your morning rides. It is not as if you're doing Downhill biking where the probability of falls and dangerous ones at that, is very high.

Keep riding. :)
