Medical Aspects of Cycling: part 1

Postby physioindia » February 8th, 2009, 7:35 pm

Cycling generally accepted as an endurance sports. Among the medical benefits cardiovascular benefits are most conspicuous.

A research report:
Huy C tried to establish whether bicycle use in everyday life is positively associated with health. Working on a sample of 982 randomly selected men and 1,020 women found, people who regularly cycle for transport are less likely to have medical risk factors. This research also indicates that positive effects of physical activity on risk factors can be also achieved solely by integrating more physical activity like into routine everyday life.

But cycling done even in leisure time must be done in adequate flexibility & mobility & strength around certain areas of body.

Hence folks in forth coming parts we will discuss more.....
