Training for TFN

Postby fslobo » November 14th, 2008, 12:24 pm

Hey folks,
and Hello all TFN participants.
Howz ur training going? Let us share our training regimes here.

My first questuion: Are there any climbs in namma bengalooru which mimick the mighty TFN climbs?
Specially the Day 4 ones with a gradient of 5%+

One climb which i know of is the notorious Mahalakshmi layout climb. Never tried it but seems like a good training ground.
Any more like this?

Nothing comes even remotely close. Other than the Magadi Road climb, some of the biggest gradients in Bangalore that come to mind are:
  1. Girinagar (they named it like that for a reason) :)
  2. Chennamana kere achkut - Area behind Devegowda Petrol Pump. Explore, loads of very steep climbs. But the distances are not long.
Life is far too short to skip doing what you enjoy. But, remember to keep your feet on the ground.

Thanks for that info Abhi.
Can you precisely tell which Magadi road climb you r referring to? I stay near Prasanna theater and heven't seen any big climbs on Magadi rd till that point !
Gotta chk out the others.
I am facing a big time crunch on trainings due to my weekend language classes. I can't bunk them coz they are very strict on attendance :( . So plannin to do rides in the afternoons on wknds.
