Giant Revel 4 Opinions

Hi guys,
Newbie here. I had been to one of the dealers in Bangalore who stock Giant bicycles. I checked out the Giant Revel 4 which fitted into my budget.
I searched for opinions about Revel 4 and wasn't able to find any. I thought it was probably because it is a new model. Can anyone please tell me how it matches up with the component - price ratio?
Also, There is a Mongoose Switchback in the same price range as well. How do they compare against each other?
I did love the Revel 4 for its looks compared to the Mongoose. Not much difference from the posture perspective. About components I'm not sure.

After this, the next segment as per my budget was Trek 3500 or Giant Revel 2.
(However I'm a bit skeptical of these, as they are out of my budget, but just in case, I decide to go for it)
Which seems to be better amongst these?
P.S - I did read the buyers's guide and decide I wanted an MTB, as I would be doing a little off roading as well.

I have the 2010 Revel 1, great bike, good geometry. So frame wise revel 4 is a good option, dont know about the components though.

The below link gives some info about the components. Can you tell if its VFM or should I really bump up and go for the Revel 2 instead?

I did check out the new Schwinn Frontier Elite 2012 model. Seems good. But its around the same price range as Revel 2 and KHS Alite 150 as well.
